David Hollander, Esq.:

 

For over twelve years Mr. Hollander has addressed thousands of persons on the subjects of increasing income, lowering taxation, preserving principal and maximizing assets. An elder law attorney and highly qualified financial advisor, Mr. Hollander is considered one of the leading experts in advising Californians on ways to protect their assets. One of his most notable achievements is his authoring Assembly Bill 412, an act relating to insurance consumer protection. Mr. Hollander is President and CEO of the Liberty Group, LLC, a registered broker/dealer and member NASD/SIPC/MSRB. Mr. Hollander uses his comprehensive knowledge to help retirees avoid common and sometimes irreversible financial mistakes.

Sheila Hollander, Esq.:


Sheila Hollander began working for herself in 1998. During this time, Sheila has been involved in various kinds of civil litigation and more recently, estate planning.  Prior to 1998, Sheila worked as an associate for Gordon & Rees in San Francisco practicing general civil litigation, including insurance defense, asbestos litigation, and breast implant litigation.  Before coming to Gordon & Rees, Sheila worked in several firms in southern California specializing in personal injury.  While in law school, she also worked for the Los Angeles Public Defender’s Office, Appellate Division and studied law abroad in Paris, France.


Sheila received her undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley in 1990.  She obtained her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1993. 


Sheila is a member of the State Bar of California.  While not practicing law, Sheila is busy with her two daughters, serves on the parent board of their school, and enjoys yoga/pilates, tennis, and traveling.  She is a passionate environmentalist committed to fighting global warming.

Bonnie Landles-Dowling, Esq.:


Bonnie graduated cum laude, with a tax concentration, from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2010.  She was admitted to the California Bar in December.  While at Hastings, Bonnie was Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal, served as an advocate for homeless and marginally housed residents of San Francisco, and worked as a Teacher’s Assistant for Legal Writing and Research.  Bonnie complemented her academic experience with internship positions, summering as a judicial extern in the chambers of the Honorable Robert L. Dondero and as Law Clerk for a law firm in Walnut Creek.


Before law school, Bonnie earned her BS in Chemistry and Biology from the University of the Pacific.  She then spent three years caring for her elderly grandparents on the northern California coast before law school.  Bonnie currently lives in San Francisco where she enjoys running, working in her yard, and following her beloved San Francisco Giants.

Francesca Clough:


Francesca graduated from Golden Gate University, School of Law in 2004, with a specialization in Intellectual Property. Before coming to work for Hollander & Hollander she spent 2 years at a DUI defense firm, and 4 years at a criminal defense firm, both in San Francisco.


Francesca is originally from Bath, England. Before attending law school she earned her BA in English Literature and Language and Business Administration from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. Francesca currently lives in San Francisco, and when not working, she enjoys travelling, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
